Assist TRAIN workers with TCK (Third Culture Kid), ages infant-teen, care and programming during the missionary retreat. TRAIN has an established curriculum used to help TCKs make new friends who are in similar circumstances and process together their experiences on the foreign mission field.

What will we be doing?

TRAIN International will be hosting an ABIDE Debrief, focused on some spiritual care for missionaries from around Europe. We’ll be working with their kids, called TCKS. A TCK is a Third Culture Kid. They’re not growing up in their parent’s culture and they aren’t fully from the place they are living. We’ll be working with leaders to provide intentional care and programs with that background in mind.

What’s the schedule?

We will travel on a Saturday, land and settle on a Sunday, work all week with the TCKs and their families before returning to the USA the following weekend.

Where do we stay?

Housing will be provided by the TRAIN team.

How do we handle transportation and travel?

First Christian will work with TRAIN to help manage and purchase plane tickets and transportation.

Who can participate?

Due to the age of the TCKs we will be working with, all participants must be 18 or older.

Are background checks required?

Yes, background checks will be required.

What will we do to prepare?

We will have several Zoom or in-person gatherings, and all needed details on packing, travel, etc, will be provided!
